Swiss master florists and floral experts deal with a work of art from the museum's collection and interpret it with their creative means. Japanese people rave about the «Sakura», the Japanese cherry blossom. But the fact is that thanks to the arboretum in the Aubonne Valley, we have nothing to envy the land of the rising sun. The spring event in the magnificent Parco delle Camelie in Locarno will be held for the 26th time. The park is home to about a thousand camellia plants in almost as many varieties. March to April, the garden is in full bloom. Shopping is possible at the plant market, and a bar invites visitors to linger. In addition, supporting events are planned, such as camellia concerts. By the way: in March Fleurop's cooperation partner Eurobus offers a one-day bus trip to the camellia blossom in Locarno.

The SHI invites you to an exchange of experiences in plant homeopathy. This meeting is aimed at anyone who has already had some initial experiences in the homeopathic treatment of plants. Every year in spring, the great tulip festival targets numerous visitors to Morges. This year, the theme is «Water». On an area of 30,000 m2 you can discover about 300 varieties of tulips. The first ones are already in bloom end of March. The restaurant area «Le Dôme du Terroir», which offers certified local products, welcomes visitors every day with music and numerous activities. In addition, the famous pottery market takes place on the weekend of April 5 and 6. Depending on the weather, the crocuses usually bloom from the end of March to mid-April. It's worth taking a trip to the Rämisgummen. There, the observer is treated to a magnificent natural spectacle: thousands upon thousands of crocuses usually cover the area with a purple and white carpet of flowers. The occurrence of violet crocuses in this number is absolutely unique and cannot be found anywhere else. Discover the unique blaze of color of the millions of blooming tulips at Keukenhof and be captivated by the charm of the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam. Whether for the renaturation of rivers, hedge maintenance or maintenance of habitats for animals and plants: with the active help of volunteers on nature missions, you can do good for nature and protect the environment. On this WWF maintenance mission for the Büdemji bogland in Hinter-Valzeina, mown grass is collected, piles of branches are placed at the edge of the forest to provide shelter for small mammals and the bogland is cleared of overgrowing shrubs. Date: April 5, 8:20-16:30; meeting point Bahnhofplatz 7214 Grüsch. The event is suitable for people aged 8 and over. Good sure-footedness is required. Catering will be provided. On our joint foray (18.00 to 20.30) through the «Naturstation Silberweide», we will discover the wild herbs of spring along the paths, which are ideal food for us after winter thanks to their vital substances. Together we will collect edible plants and prepare a small meal. Fancy finding out more about fresh herbs and enjoying them too? On the hikes with Daniel Zenger, you walk in groups of 5-10 people along the Emmental meadows and through the forest. You taste plants and herbs that grow in nature and learn about their healing properties as well as tips for preparing them at home. At the end, you make and enjoy a spring salad and Gundelrebe cream cheese with the plants you have collected. Dates: 25, 26, 27 and 30.4.2025 and 3 and 4.5.2025.
