Brazilian Mother's Day in the extended family
Mother's Day in Brazil is the most important day of the year.

Perhaps because mothers are a lifeline in the increasingly common patchwork families. They look after the children, let their adult children live at home and take care of the grandchildren. They also keep the family together.

So, on Sunday, they gather children, ex-husbands, their current life partner, stepchildren, grandchildren, and step-grandchildren around them to eat together. That's why Mother's Day is the perfect day to really spoil mommy.
